U-19 Division one Cricket: President’s College take first innings lead against Lumbini

President’s College Rajagiriya took a first innings lead on the first day of their under 19 division one traditional cricket encounter against Lumbini College when the two teams met at the Colts ground yesterday.

Electing to bat first Lumbini were six down for 54 but a 41 run seventh wicket stand between Poorna prabath Sirinanda (12) and Vinu Hemal Lankara (34) saw them end their first essay on 107.

Skipper Thanul Chamod captured three wickets while Rifaz Mauros and Dinith Nelumdeniya were rewarded with two wickets each.

President’s College were 195/7 at stumps powered by a 81 ball 60 by Iranga Hashan and contributions by Ganidu Dewmina, Thanula Chamod and Rifaz Mauros. Kavin Peris bowled well to capture three wickets.
