St. Anthony’s, Kandy enter final

St. Anthony’s College Kandy entered the final of the ‘Singer Cup’ Under17 division I inter schools cricket tournament yesterday. by beating Royal College Colombo by four wickets in the semi final played at Baybrooke Place Colombo yesterday.

St. Anthony’s Kandy won the toss and elected to field. Royal Colombo was bowled out for 132 runs in 47.2 overs. Harindu Palihawadana scored 31 runs. Sasith Hirudika took 3 wickets for 30 runs.

St. Anthony’s scored 134 runs for 6 wickets in 31.5 overs. Kalhara Senarathne scored 40 runs and Mohamed Kamil made 35 runs. Navodya Wijekumara remained with unbeaten 29 runs. Manula Perera took 3 wickets for 35 runs.
