Kunchana excels for Cambrians

Kunchana Perera

Fourteen-yeay-old left arm leg spinner Kunchana Perera of Prince of Wales College, Moratuwa representing his Alma Mater in division one of the on going under 15 cricket tournament conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association has so far captured 34 scalps and accumulated 261 runs at a fine average of 9.41. He is the highest wicket taker for Cambrians and it carried them in a long way to reach the pre-quarters.

He had two five wicket hauls and took a match bag of 9 for 48 (7/36 and 2/12) against Kegalu Vidyalaya and claimed 5/32 against St. Benedicts College. Kunchana is a very fine fielder at any position with a good arm.
