New Zealand survive late scare for vital win

New Zealand defeated Scotland by 16 runs in their ICC Twenty20 Cricket World Cup Super 12 match played in Dubai, United Arab Emirates yesterday.

New Zealand rattled up a massive 172 for five from their 50 overs after they were put into bat and then restricted Scotland to 156/5 in 20 overs.

Opener Martin Guptill was the match winner for New Zealand as he hammered a splendid 93 from 56 balls with the help of seven sixes and six boundaries.

Opening bowler Trent Boult and Ish Sodhi captured two wickets each as Scotland were restricted to 156/5 in reply.
