The Sri Lanka Women’s Squash Team
The Sri Lanka Senior National Squash Team took wings to Malaysia yesterday to participate in the 20th Asian Squash Team Championships to be held from November 30 to December 4 in Kuala Lumpur.
The Sri Lankan Men’s Team will be represented by Ravindu Laksiri, Shamil Wakeel, Methmal Wood and Sheriff Hakeem while Fathoum Issadeen, Yeheni Kuruppu, Chanithma Sinaly and Dewmini Gallage will represent the women's team.
Laksiri, the current national champion and holder of the title for eight consecutive years will be the most experienced along with Wakeel while Wood will be making his debut to the senior national team.
Meanwhile, Women’s national champion Issadeen and junior national champion Kuruppu will hold the key in the Women’s Team event.
