SLC increase T20 WC Squad to 35

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) have decided to participate in next month’s ICC T20 World Cup with a squad of 35 players.

After a discussion between the Cricket Selection Committee and SLC officials yesterday, it was decided to increase the squad to 35 players due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Indian Cricket Board have also planned to travel with a 36-member squad to Dubai for the World Cup.

Each team has the opportunity to nominate a squad of 30 players as per International Cricket Council (ICC) rules and regulations.

The additional players will be granted permission provided the expenses of them are borne by the respective cricket boards.
