SL Davis Cup Team leaves for Jordan today

The five-member Sri Lanka National Men’s Tennis Team will leave for Jordan today to participate in the Davis Cup Asia/Oceania Group III tie, scheduled to be played from September 15 to 20. The Sri Lankan contingent will play against Hong Kong, Jordan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Syria and Vietnam.

The Sri Lanka Team will include Yasitha de Silva, Thehan Wijemanne, Chathurya Nilaweera, Vibuda Wijebandara and Renouk Wijemanne (Coach/Non Playing Captain).

In fact, Yasitha will be playing in his fifth Davis Cup tie while the 17-year-old Wijemanne will play in his second Davis Cup tie. Wijebandara and Nilaweera are playing in their first Davis Cup tie.
