Volleyball player and athlete Supipi Prabodha Abeynayake has brought honour and fame to her alma mater Vijayaba National School Hungama Pubudu Wijayaba Sports Club Hungama and Sri Lanka Navy. She was born on 31st January 2000 and admitted to this school in 2005 and her first class teacher was Mrs. Vajira.

When she was in Grade Five she commenced sports and participated in the Inter House Sports Meet and did 75 and 100 metres and high jump and won places and in 2011 she did the same event and secured places and in 2013 she won the High Jump Event and took part in the Divisional and Zonal Meets and could not come up to expectations and in 2014 after succeeding at the lower level tournaments she participated at the National Youth Sports Meet and she won the High Jump and 100 metres and came second in Long Jump and  up to 2017 she continued and participated in the National Youth Sports Meet and her teacher in Charge was Mrs. Sagarika and the coach was Mr. Wickramaratne.

In the mean time her parents Pathmasena Abenayake and Dayani Ruwan Pathirana encouraged their daughter to take up to volleyball and in 2012 she commenced volleyball under their coach and Master in Charge of Volleyball Tharaka Ratnaweera and in the same year she took part in the Inter House Competition and her teacher in Charge was Mrs. Asoka and with the strenuous training she participated at the National Youth Open Volleyball Tournament in 2013 and they were the Runners Up and in the following year after winning the Zonal and Provincial Meets they participated in the National Youth Festival Volleyball Tournament Hambantota District and they were victorious and in the same year participating in the DSI Tournament in 2016 they came third and in the Rupavahini Tournament they were the Runners Up

. In 2016 she carried away the Best Defender’s Award in the under 24 Youth Tournament. In 2017 they swept the board in the Lower Level Tournaments and in the under 20 DSI Tournament they were the All Island Runners Up and in the All Island Schools Tournament they could not gain a place and in the Rupavahini Tournament they became third and in the National Festival District Tournament they were the winners. Then in 2018 they came second in the Schools Tournament and in the Dialog Tournament they ended up third and in the All Island National Festival Tournament held at Polonnaruwa they came fourth and she played for the Pubudu Wijaya Sports Club Hungama in the Dialog Tournament.

She was selected to the University of Moratuwa for gaining excellent results at the G. C. E. A/L Examination and finally she played for the 2021 Galaxy Tournament for Sri Lanka Navy and they emerged champions and 10 teams participated and she received the Best Receivers Award.
