Skipper Kusal Perera notched up a fine century and Dushmantha Chameera took a five-wicket haul as Sri Lanka cruised to a consolation 97-run victory in the third and final One Day International (ODI) against Bangladesh at the National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka yesterday.
The Lankans, who had already lost the series, rallied around through a superb century from opener Perera to post a competitive 286 for six wickets from their 50 overs after having elected to bat first.
Paceman Chameera later produced a splendid hostile spell of bowling as Bangladesh in reply, were dismissed for 189 runs in 42.3 overs.

Chameera removed opener Mohammad Naim and Shakib Al Hasan cheaply to put the home side on the back foot.
Thereafter, he captured the wicket of Skipper Tamim Iqbal and after 15 overs, Bangladesh were 49 for three.
With the required rate almost eight runs an over, Bangladesh's batting mainstay Mushfiqur Rahim lost his cool and was caught at mid-on while trying to go big.
Following a slow-paced 56-run fourth-wicket stand with Mosaddek Hossain, Mushfiqur fell prey to debutant Ramesh Mendis in the 24th over.
The 34-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman scored a 54-ball 28, a knock that did not feature a single boundary.
Earlier, Danushka Gunathilaka and Perera gave Sri Lanka a flying start as they raced away to 82 for no loss in the 12th over, before Taskin Ahmed pegged the visitors back with twin strikes.
Perera was joined in by Kusal Mendis in project rebuild, which took time to get going.
The pair added 69 runs before being separated as Taskin struck for the third time.
However, Perera carried on with the excellent work and notched up his sixth ODI ton off 99 balls. It came right after he was dropped on 99. Shoriful Islam pulled back for Bangladesh with Perera's wicket in the 26th over as the Sri Lankan Captain departed for 120.
Niroshan Dickwella didn't hang around for too long and the mantle fell on Dhananjaya de Silva and Wanindu Hasaranga to give their team a solid finish.
The duo mustered a partnership of 35 before Hasaranga fell for 18. Dhananjaya remained unbeaten on 55 off 70 balls and Sri Lanka ended with 286. For Bangladesh, Taskin starred with the ball by picking up four wickets. (Agencies)
