Sports Ministry and SLASU sign HP agreement

The Sports Ministry and the Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union (SLASU) yesterday, signed a contract in their attempt to provide High-Performance (HP) assistance to the swimmers in the country.

This is the fourth high-performance contract that the Sports Ministry had signed following their partnership with volleyball, tennis and karate. The National Sports Council and the High-Performance Committee have identified swimming as one sport which had the potential to win medals at international level. This concept was initiated by the Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa with the recommendation of the National Sports Council.
