The Mercantile Cricket Association (MCA) 2021 season came a complete standstill due to the prevailing situation in the country.

The MCA Tournament Committee headed by Tarindra Kaluperuma conducted a meeting via zoom and decided to put on hold the ‘B’ and ‘D’ Division tournaments which were scheduled for May.

Earlier, they postponed the MCA Premier League and the ‘G’ Division final. The MCA Premier League, which commenced on April 20 went far as April 27, completing eight matches out of 13.

The ‘G’ Division final between Pyramid Wilmer and Abans Group, scheduled for May 2 suffered the same fate. (D.R)
