VB star Padman promoted as Air Commodore

Former Royal College Volleyball skipper Padman de Costa has been promoted as Air Commodore of he Sri Lanka Air Force. Costa the talented spiker was able to lead all age group of the college volleyball teams and was awarded college colours for two years .

He has won SLAF and Defence Services Colours for Volleyball and functioned as the Secretary of Air Force Sports Council and Defence Services Sports Board.

He is also an active member of the National Volleyball Federation and has rendered yeoman service to promote the game in the country.

Padman is the first in Sri Lankan military history to be appointed to the World Military Sports Council, when he was appointed to its Volleyball and Beach VB Committee in 2017.
