Sports Minister summons cricket officials

Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa met the newly appointed Cricket Advisory Committee headed by its chairman Aravinda de Silva at the Sports Ministry office in Colombo yesterday.

The Minister had a lengthy discussion with the committee on the present plight of the game and how to get the Sri Lanka team back into winning ways.

The other members of the Cricket Advisory Committee are, Roshan Mahanama, Muttiah Muralitharan and Kumar Sangakkara.

This four-member committee has been tasked to work closely with SLC in order to uplift the standard of cricket both at domestic and international level, thereby ensuring a sustainable high standard of cricket in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) officials were also present at this discussion. A.N
