Chess Player, Athlete, Swimmer and Poolist for Asian Youth Rapid Championship in China, West Asian Championship in Thailand and World Youth Rapid Championship in Greece ten year old. Sithum Pahasara Jayamaha has brought honour and glory to his Alma Mater Dhammissara National School Nattandiya.

Following the footsteps of his elder brother Thineth Nethsara Jayamaha Sithum commenced chess under the Teacher in Charge of his school Mrs. Nadeesha in 2017 and in the same year participating at the under ten age group in the Puttalam District Tournament he came second and in the North Western Province Individual Championship he was the runner up. runner up and in the Provincial Meet he came third and in the All Island tournament he received a One Star and in the All Island Chess Team event his school were the champions and his team participated at the All Island Tournament at Kurunegala and he got a merit certificate and he received another merit certificate at the School Knight Flame Tournament and participating at the Negomo Chess Tournament under nine age group he was the runner up and again at the schools Green Night Tournaments and at the E-4 Chess Academy Championship he was the under nine champion and at the Double Bishop Championship he got a certificate representing the under ten age group.

He came seventh in the Kurunegela Inter School Championship and participating in the Provincial Tournament under 11 team he came third and in the Athugalpura Open Chess Championship he received a merit certificate and in the School Night Flame Chess Championship he was the Champion In the Negombo Chess Festival Open Meet he received a merit certificate and in the Annite Chess Tournament too he received a merit certificate and in the Provincial Tournament he was the champion and in the Academy Chess Championship he got a merit certificate and in the Sri Lanka Youth National Rapid Championship he was the runner up and with all these performances under his belt he was selected to the Sri Lanka Chess Asian Championship in Thailand

In addition to Chess he did athletics in 2018 and 2020 and took part at the Inter House Sports Meets in relay events and in swimming he took part in the Aesthetic and Skills Programme and for his performances he was awarded school colours for chess and his younger sister Thihasna Sithumini Jayamaha is an up and coming Chess Player.
