Fourteen year old Karate Black Belt, Kumite and Kata Gold Medalist. Nadun Chethana has brought honour and fame as a Junior Karateka to Dhammissara National School Nattandiya. Nadun was admitted to Catholic Junior School Marawila in 2013 and his first class teacher was Mrs. Shamalie and in the following year he shifted to Dhammissara National School Nattandiya when R. K. W. Gunasekera was at the helm of the school.

He participated in the Inter House Sports Meet from Grade 4 to 8 and his events were Long Jump, 4x100 metres Relay and 4x100 metres Hurdles and in 2019 he participated in the under 13 Inter House Volleyball Tournament. Though he participated in Athletics and Volleyball his forte is Karate and his parents A. M. Amarasinghe and A. M. Dhammika admitted him to the ISKU Karate Academy in 2014 and Nadun came under Karate Coach Sugath Kumara. His first meet was Gimaha Shotokan RYU Karate Association Meet and he received a certificate for participation. His second meet was in 2016 Shotokan Karate–Do Traditional Sankoshi Oraditionan Sunakossi and he won a Gold for a Kumite and a Silver for Kata in the under eight age group. In the same year participating in the All Island Karate Kumite Championship under 9 he won a Gold for Kumite and in 2017 he participated in the Sri Lanka Schools Junior Karate Kata Championship.In the under 10 age group at the Open National Championship he won a Gold for Kumite and at the Livera Karate Foundation Meet he won a Gold for Kumite and a Bronze for Kata.

In 2018 Karate-Do Federation North Western Province Meet he got a Bronze for Kumite and in the Champions Trophy Karate Championship he won a Gold for Kumite and a Bronze for Kata In the Puttalam District Karate-Do Federation Meet he got Bronzes for Kumite and Kata and in the third Invitation Open Karate Championship he received a certificate for participation. Same year at the Gimhah International Karate Championship he grabbed a Gold .

At the Kensho Karate International Open Karate Development Meet he won a Bronze for Kata and then at the Open Invitation Karate Championship he won Golds for both Kumite and Kata and at the Puttalam District Karate Meet he won Silvers for Kata and Kumite. Same year at the North Western Province Meet he won a Gold for Kumite and finally in 2020 at the Sri Lanka Karate-Do Association Kumite Meet he got a Bronze for Kata and at the ISKU International Online Kata Championship he received a merit certificate for participation. His Karate Coach at school is . Peter and Nadun is well supported by his Principal Anil Pushpakumara .
