Luca Knese and Anika Seneviratne clinched the Men’s and Women’s Open Singles title respectively at the Colombo Open Tennis Tournament worked off at the SLTA Courts in Green Path.
Luca of course won the Men’s final on a default as his opponent Vibuda Wijebandara was forced to retire with an injury during the third and final set.
In contrast, Anika powered her way to retain the Women’s Singles title with a hard-fought win over Savini Jayasuriya in the final encounter.
Earlier, Vibuda Wijebandara and Savith Weerasinghe won the Men’s Open Doubles title following a gruelling three-setter against Chathurya Nilaweera and Thehan Wijemanne in the final encounter.
Meanwhile, sisters Anika and Alana Seneviratne continued their excellent form as they defeated Janali Manamperi and Savini Jayasuriya in the Women’s Open Doubles final.
