Karunaratne brothers, Niluka, Dinuka and Chamika dominated the second day and entered the pre quarter-finals of the National Badminton Championships, which continued at the SLBA, MBA and Otter AC Indoor Stadium yesterday.
The defending champion Niluka cruised to a 21-11, 21-12 win over S. Naveenraj in the Men’s Singles encounter.
In addition, bottom seed Dinuka defeated T. Silvidan 21-6, 21-9 while Chamika also outclassed Treojan Gunawardena 21-10, 21-12.
Meanwhile three seeded players Akira Edirisinghe, Roshan Kumara and Chamath Dias were knocked-out from the third-round of the Men’s Singles.
