Kagiso Rabada

South Africas leading fast bowler, Kagiso Rabada has been medically cleared of the right muscle strain injury which saw him ruled out of the ‘Betway’ first test match against Sri Lanka last week. He joined the South African Test squad last Monday.

Rabada has successfully gone through all the COVID-19 and pre-Bio-Secure Environment entry protocols and has already entered the Bio-Secure Environment (BSE) last Sunday.

The 25-year-old fast bowler is presently the highest South African wicket taker in the squad. He is just three wickets away from reaching the milestone of 200 wickets in test cricket. At present he has a remarkable statisticof 197 wickets in 43 test matches with a super average of 22.95 including nine five wickets hauls and four ten wickets hauls.

His best bowling figure in a test match is 13/144 against England in 2016, which is the best bowling figure in a test match in Centurion and the youngest South African so far to take 10 wickets in a test match. He achieved this feat when he was just 20 years old.

South Africa Test Squad for the second test match against Sri Lanka: Quinton de Kock (captain), Temba Bavuma, Aiden Markram, Faf du Plessis, Dean Elgar, Keshav Maharaj, Lungi Ngidi, Kagiso Rabada, Rassie van der Dussen, Anrich Nortje, Glenton Stuurman, Dwaine Pretorius, Sarel Erwee, Wiaan Mulder, Kyle Verreynne, Beuran Hendricks, Lutho Sipamla, Raynard van Tonder.
