National Surfing Championship organised by the Surfing Federation of Sri Lanka (SFSL), concluded at Arugambay yesterday amides a large gathering. Mobitel was the official Telecommunication Partner.
Nearly 30 foreign competitors competed in the open event along with top sixteen surfers from the National Championship. A total of 50 locals too took part in the National Championship.
The surfing Championship was a timely initiative by the Ministry of Youth & Sports and Ministry of Tourism. The synergy between the two Ministries helps not only to kick start the surfing fraternity but will also helps revive the tourism sector and rebuild the industry.
