Day care centres to re-open on July 1

The government has decided to re-open daycare centres countrywide from July 1, said Kurunegala District senior Director of Education W.M. Balasooriya, when contacted by the Daily News yesterday.

Day care centres were closed for nearly three months following the Covid-19 outbreak.

Following the Health Ministry granting permission to re-open day care centres under the prescribed guidelines for controlling of the spread of coronavirus, the centres would re-open on July 1.
