The annual inter school 18th limited overs match “The Battle of the North” was played between St. John’s College, Jaffna and Jaffna Central at Johnian Grounds and Johnians beat their arch rivals by 33 runs. Batting first Johnians were all out for 94 runs and in reply Jaffna Centralians were shot out for a paltry 61 runs and A. Abishek claimed 5 for 20. Now the tally stands at Johnians 10 and Centralians 8.
