Pothupitiya MV clinch two VB titles

Pothupitiya MV, Kalutara won two titles at Kalutara Zonal Inter-School Boy’s Volleyball Championship tournament matches organized by the Kalutara Zonal Education Officer’s Sports Unit and held at Pothupitiya MV playground on March 12. Accordingly Boys’ Under 18 team and Under 16 won Zonal championship and Runner-Up respectively.

Under 16 Boys’ Championship was won by St. John’s National school Panadura while Under 20 championship was won by Mahanama MV. Panadura.

Nagoda Maha Vidyalaya emerged runner-up in under 18 tournament while Panadura Royal won the Under 20 runner up at these Volleyball Matches.

Nine teams participated in the under 16 tournament while eight teams competed in the under 18 tournament and eight teams participated in the under 20 boys’ tournament.

All the victorious teams qualified to compete at the upcoming Western Province Boys’ Volleyball Competitions. which are to be held at Colombo, Dharmakeerthi added.
