Methodist High School advance to pre-quarters

Methodist High School Moratuwa advanced to the pre quarter final of the ‘Singer Trophy’ Under 19 Division III Level One inter Schools Cricket (2 days) tournament yesterday.

Methodist High School won first inning against S.Thomas’ College Bandarawela at Bandarawela yesterday.

Under 15 boy Sandun Fernando (Methodist HS Morattuwa) scored 159 runs against S. Thomas’ Bandarawela. Sihina Fernando (Methodist High School Moratuwa) took 7 wiclets for 39 runs.

* At Bandarawela (Methodist High School Moratuwa won first inning)

S.Thomas’ Bandarawela: 151 (36.4) (Esitha Gimhana 37, Kavindu Nimesha 35, Mohommed Mafas 21, Sihina Fernando 7/39, Semith Roshen 3/33)

Methodist High School Moratuwa: 473/6 (96.4) (Sandun Fernando 159, Senith Roshen 97, Rasantha Fernando 86, Kaveen Fernando 75, Mohommed Mafas 4/69 Nethmal Kalhara 2/75). YK
