Five schools advance to pre-quarter finals

Loyola Negombo, Ibbagamuwa Central, Maliyadeva Model, Jaffna Central and Nalanda Boys advanced to the pre-quarterfinals of the ‘Singer Trophy’ Under 19 Division III Level One inter-schools cricket (2-day) tournament.

Loyola College Negombo beat Gamini NS Bentota by 4 wickets at Godigamuwa, Ibbagamuwa Central College won on first innings against C.W.W. Kannangara Central College Matugama, Jaffna Central College beat Siddhartha MMV Balapiyiya by 8 wickets, Maliyadeva Model School Kurunegala won on first innings against Carey College, and Nalanda Boys School Minuwangoda beat St. Patrick’s College Jaffna by 9 wickets in the play-off pre-quarterfinals.
