St. Thomas’ Matara advances to pre-quarter final

St. Thomas College Matara advanced to the pre-quarter final of the ‘Singer Trophy’ Under 19 Division One inter-schools cricket (limited overs) when they beat Dharmaraja College Kandy by 6 runs in the first round at Matara yesterday.

St. Thomas’ Matara: 116 (30.4) (Sanchitha Ranasinghe 24, Woshitha Amarasinghe 23, Yasitha Samararathne 3/14, Upendra Warnakulasooriya 3/20)

Dharmaraja Kandy: 110 (48.4) (Isuru Dhananjaya 27, Harindu Jayasekara 3/26, Sachira Rashmika 2/21)
