Piliyandala Central College scored 43 runs for 2 wickets against Taxila Central College, Horana in the ongoing 19th “Battle of the Salpiti – Raigam” annual cricket encounter which was played at the De Soysa Stadium in Moratuwa yesterday.
Piliyandala Central, won the toss and elected to field first. Taxila Central were bowled out 164 runs in 71.1 overs. Eranga Jayakodi scored 55 runs. Sasanka Adeepa (27), Gihan Madubasha (21) and Deshan Dilmin (21) helped build their innings. Ushan Deemantha took 7 wickets for 51 runs. Match will be continued today for day two.
