Western Province Badminton Association successfully conducted the coaches training course for the first time at Mercantile Badminton Indoor Stadium Colombo 07. Indian experienced coach Subash Biju Prasad highly appreciated the way this programme was conducted by the Western P rovince BA
Biju Prasad who is the head of the Bangalore Badminton Academy having more than 30 years experience conducted both practical and theory for the coaches and it was very important for their future progress.
Prasad who was the former Indian National player was very keen to give his knowledge for the Intermediate coaches. He is an expert in coaching Both beginners and Intermediate level and local coaches benefitted immensely
Apart from the Biju Prasad coaching methods Motivation expert Kumar Iddamallena delivered the good motivation lecture for this participanting coaches Human Kinetics and Sport Medicine specialist Dr Asanga Wijayaratna used his vast experience to give a good lesson about Nutrition and sports Injuries . How to prevent injuries and what type of methods to recover from injuries during the games .
Rohana de Silva is no stranger for local Badminton arena. The BWF qualified Referee was very keen to give knowledge of rules and regulations of Badminton . The two day training session was a huge success.
