Tharindu Anuradha wins gold medal in Wushu

Tharindu Namal Anuradha of Ampara being welcomed by State Minister Wimalaweera Dissanayakke, Parliamentarians Sriyani Wijewickrama, Daya Gamage, Faizal Cassim and high ranking officials

Tharindu Namal Anuradha of Ampara secured a Gold medal in the Wushu event at the 13th South Asian Games in Nepal. A warm reception was organised to welcome the gold medal winner Tharindu Namal Anuradha at Ampara town recently.

A felicitation ceremony was also organized at the Ampara District Secretariat premises.

It was held under the patronage of the Ampara District Secretary D.M.L.Bandaranayakke.

Winner Tharindu Namal Anuradha received a warm welcome at Ampara and was congratulated and felicitated by the high ranking officials and politicians.

State Minister Wimalaweera Dissanayakke, Parliamentarians Sriyani Wijewickrama, Daya Gamage, Faizal Cassim and many others were present at the event.

The 13th South Asian Games which ran for 10 days in the capital city of Kathmandu, Nepal, comprised of 27 games and 2,700 athletes participated in the event.
