The Nalanda College Karate Team brought Honour and Fame to Sri Lanka by emerging runners up of the 17th Wadokai International Karate Tournament held in Visakhapatnam, Swarnabathi indoor stadium, Andhra Pradesh, India recently.
They won 7 Gold Medals, 6 Silver Medals and one Bronze Medal which gave them a tally of 14 medals which was a great achievement India won this tournament.
The Nalanda Karate Team comprised Yenuja Methushal, Dinara Yasas Opatha, Dinula Pinsara, Esadu Danusara Pieris, Rivindu Randira, Menath Dhanuja, Sathnidu Ehaliyagoda (Captain) Anusara Peiris. They were trained by Sensei Shihan Jayasiri Assisted by Jayantha Magallagoda
