The wicket keeper and opening batsman Dinura Demansith scored a fine half century and guided Gurukula Vidyalaya Kelaniya to beat Christ King College Tudella in their inter school under 13 division one second round tournament cricket match worked off at Kirindiwela.
Demansith who is in fine form scored 77 runs and has so for scored 529 runs in eight matches at an average of 52.9. In the first round he collected 430 runs and against Christ King he scored 99 runs in two innings. So far he has scored a century and four fifties and the top score being 109 Versus Galahitiyawa central.
Batting first Gurukula made 154 runs and Maduranga Peiris captured 7 fro 36 and in reply Christ King were all out for 128 runs and at stumps Gurukula were 39 for no loss.
