SLC conducts coaches training at Pallekelle

Coach Education Unit of Sri Lanka Cricket headed by Heshan de Mel assisted by Tharaka Samaratunge organized a two-day Seminar on “Secrets of how to Coach” and further they taught how to conduct practice sessions at the Pallekelle International Stadium recently. Seventy Five qualified Coaches from Kandy,Kegalle and Nuwaraeliya attended this Seminar.

The players were different to one another and coaches were taught to train them individually according to their ability and to understand their mental and physical strength as well. The coaches were divided into different groups and started discussing their views and accordingly informed the Officials of the coaching unit to continue the discussions and come to a conclusion.

After the Seminar the coaches were presented with certificates issued by Sri Lanka Cricket and this seminar was conducted on the request of the Secretary of CPCA, Janaka Pathirana and coaches of the Province, Amila Pinnaduwa, Ananda Bandaranayake and Ajith Bandara. Wicket Keeping and fast bowling coaching camps were held simultaneously by the former Sri Lanka Test fast bowling coach, Ravindra Pushpakumara and former Sri Lanka test wicket-Keeping coach, Prasanna Jayawardena.
