Arch rivals Trinity College and St. Anthony’s College both from Kandy will clash in the semi final of the Singer Trophy Under 15 Division One inter schools cricket tournament today at Bandaranayake Central College grounds Veyangoda.
St. Anthony’s College Kandy advanced to the second round as group champions in the first round. Trinity College Kandy advanced to the second round as group champions in the first round.
St. Anthony’s Kandy beat runner-up in the last year St. Sebastian’s College Moratuwa in the pre quarter final. Trinity Kandy beat St. Peter’s College Bambalapitiya in the pre quarter final. St. Anthony’s Kandy won on first inning against Lumbini College Colombo in the quarter final. Trinity Kandy beat Nalanda College Colombo in the quarter final. Lahiru Abeysinghe will lead St. Anthony’s Kandy while Rahal Amarasinghe will lead Trinity Kandy Winner of this match will meet St. Joseph Vaz College Wennapuwa in the final next week.
