Sri Lanka to take part in New Zealand table tennis tourney

Four time National champion Chalitha Ranjana will lead the Sri Lanka team at the New Zealand open table tennis championship to be held from September 26 to October 06 at Christchurch, New Zealand. Four players from Sri Lanka will take part in this championship.

Chalitha Ranjana has participated in this championship twice in 2017 and 2018, He also performed fantastically in the last two years at New Zealand open, In 2017 he won two gold, one silver and one Bronze medal while in 2018 he bagged two gold & one silver medal as well.

Meanwhile Helitha Hendawithana current junior national player and Hasitha Samaraweera one of the promising players will take part in this championship.

Also former junior national team representative Rajitha Samaraweera will join the team.

More than 400 players from 25 countries will take part in this championship.

Sri Lanka team will be leaving the country on September 22
