Sports Minister to lay foundation stone for synthetic track at Bogambara Stadium today

A foundation stone will be laid by the Minister of Sports Harin Fernando for a synthetic track at the Bogambara Stadium, Kandy at 10.00 a.m. today. The Minister will be accompanied by senior cabinet Minister Laxman Kiriella and other Ministers.

Mayor of Kandy, Kesara Senanayake and most of the Kandy MC members are expected to be present at this event. A synthetic track was a long standing requirement of athletes of the Kandy District.
