Galahitiyawa, Tissa and Wickramabahu into quarters

Galahitiyawa Central College, Tissa Central College Kalutara and Wickramabahu Central College Gampola advanced to the quarter final round of the “Dr. C.W.W. Kannangara Memorial Trophy” Central Colleges Cricket Tournament yesterday.

Tissa Central College Kalutara beat Ibbagamuwa Central College by 2 wickets and Galahitiyawa Central College beat A. Rathnayake Central College Walala by 151 runs in the second round.

Wickramabahu Central College Gampola beat Wanduramba Central College by 6 wickets. 28 Central College teams participated in this tournament. This tournament is conducted by All Island Central Colleges Past Pupils Association.

Tissa Central Kalutara: 150/8 in 28.4 overs (Harsha Madushanka 54, Nikhil Shashmika 34, Nisal Nethsiri 4/59, Yasiru Jayarathne 2/22)

* At Godigamuwa: Galahitiyawa Central: 247/8 in 40 overs (Sandaruwan Chinthaka 64, Manod Kumara 61, Minsara Sadupa 45 n.o., Jeewantha Wickramasinghe 3/33, Ishara Wickramasinghe 2/23)

A. Rathnayake Central: 96 in 29 overs (Dinuka Sarathchandra 25, Esanda Sithum 3/8, Sandaruwan Chinthaka 3/34)
