The fourth Annual Central Province State Services Cricket tournament for the Sir Richard Aluwihare Memorial Trophy, will be held on the 14th of September,2019 organized by the Public Service Sports Club,Kandy at the Police Grounds, Kandy commencing at 10.00 a.m.
Sri Richard Aluwihare was the former Government Agent, Kandy and first Ceylonese to be appointed as the Inspector General of Police. The following teams are expected to participate at the Cricket tournament.
Sri Lanka Police, Sri Lanka Prisons, Kandy Municipality, Dept. of Excise, Kandy Secretariat, Dept. of Education etc. are among the participating teams.
The Government Agent/Provincial Secretary, Tissa Karunaratne will be the Chief Guest. The Champion Team will be awarded the Sir Richard Aluwihare Memorial Trophy and a Cash prize of Rs.10,000/- and the Runners-up will be awarded Rs,7500/- and a Challenge Trophy presented by the Public Service Sports Club, Kandy
