The South Eastern Soccer Masters football team beat the Ampara Veterans football team 5-4 in a friendly football match at the Mashoor Moulana Sports Stadium, Maruthamunai recently.
The All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC) Akkaraipattu activist and Ampara District Veterans football team president, business magnet A.S. Abdul Basith was the chief guest and Ampara Football League treasurer and former veteran football player A.M.Ibrahim alias Marigold of Maruthamunai was the special guest on this occasion.
The South Eastern Soccer Masters football team and the Ampara Veterans team comprised over 40 senior players from several areas in the Ampara District.
Both teams are members of the Sri Lanka Soccer Masters Association (SLSMA).
