Sebs into quarters

Last year runner up, St. Sebastian’s College Moratuwa advanced to the quarter final of the ‘Singer Trophy’ Under 17 Division One inter schools cricket tournament yesterday when they beat Thurstan College, Colombo by six wickets at Maoratuwa.

Rain delayed the commencement of the match and wet condition restricted the match to 22 overs per side.

At Moratuwa: Thurstan Colombo: 43 in 20.2 overs (Ishira Matheesha 17, Kalana Sandeepa 3/11, Hirumal Perera 2/12, Shanon Fernando 2/13)

St. Sebastian’s Moratuwa: 46/4 in 14 overs (Sukitha Prasanna 24, Himash Nisham 3/8). YK
