Off-spinners dominate second day of Emerging Test

Off-spinner took centre stage on the second day of the first 4-day unofficial test between Sri Lanka Emerging Team and Bangladesh Emerging Team at Khulna yesterday.

Bangladesh resuming at 233-4 were dismissed for 360 with their captain Najmul Hossain making a top score of 133 off 260 balls inclusive of 13 fours and one six.

Off-spinner Ramesh Mendis took 4 for 73 as the last four wickets fell for 40 runs.

In reply Sri Lanka lost four for 101 with all the wickets being claimed by off-spinner Nayeem Hasan.

The match continues on its third day today.
