Najmal scores century for Bangladesh Emerging on day one

Captain Najmal Hossain hit an unbeaten to steer Bangladesh Emerging Team to a strong 233 for four wickets on the opening day of the first four-day unofficial cricket test against Sri Lanka Emerging Team at Khulna yesterday.

Winning the toss and batting first Bangladesh lost their first three wickets for 95 runs before Najmal joined by Afif Hossain staged a recovery with a fourth wicket partnership of 99.

Afif contributed 54 off 108 balls before being dismissed but Najmal continued to reach his century and remain unbeaten at the close 124 off 249 balls inclusive of 12 fours and one six. The match continues today.
