The German Volleyball Team from Goettingen recently played a series of matches against Sri Lanka Teams from Nattandiya and Marawila on an invitation by the Asian German Sports Exchange Programme. The German Team accepted the invitation to visit Sri Lanka even after the Easter Sunday attacks.
Their Team Leader ANITA CYRUS convinced her team to travel to Sri Lanka to show solidarity with a country which experienced a disastrous terror attack. The Volleyball team from Goettingen decided to participate in a series of encounters with Sri Lankan volleyball teams The Goettingen volleyball team during their stay visited many sites in Sri Lanka and expressed their gratitude to the Sri Lankan organizers AGSEP for making their tour a successful and happy one.
