Civil Security Department spikers excel in Thailand

Civil Security Department (CSD) volleyball team became runner-up in the volleyball tournament held at Pathumthani University in Thailand recently.

CSD team beat three sports clubs in the preliminary round matches and qualified to finals.

The Volleyball Federation President Major W.M.S.R. Weerakoon, Head Coach B.Y.D. Weerasinghe and Assistant Coach L. Ranchagoda were also with the team to guide and encourage the team members.

CSD volleyball team won the championship in Government Services Volleyball Tournament last year.

Under the instructions and guidance of the Director General of Civil Security Department Chandraratne Pallegama, they have taken steps to uplift the mental and physical fitness of CSD members.
