Maris Stella and Kandy teams into semis

Maris Stella College team and Kandy District teams have qualified for the boys’ and girls semifinals of the under-16 invitational basketball tournament in Male, Maldives.

Maris Stella team has won three games in the boys’ preliminary round. Boys’ first semifinal between Maris Stella College team and Ghaazee College team, Maldives was due to play yesterday. The boys’ Kandy District team was due to take on Majeediyya College, Maldives in the boys’ second semifinal.

The girls’ Kandy District team was scheduled to play the semifinal against Huravee College, Maldives yesterday.

The tournament commenced on April 27 and will continue until May 2.
