ICC’s ban pending investigation does not imply Jayasuriya is corrupt - Harin

Telecommunication, Foreign Employment and Sports Minister Harin Fernando said yesterday that International Cricket Council has suspended Sanath Jayasuriya’s cricket pending an investigation and that does not implicate that Jayasuriya was corrupt.
“The ICC says that Jayasuriya admitted to being in breach of 2.4.6 and 2.4.7 which deals with non-compliance and aspects such as refusal or delaying investigations conducted by ICC’s Anti Corruption body, and whether Jayasuriya engaged in any acts of corruption has to be determined after an investigation,” the Minister said.
