A splended chanceless 138 runs by Ruchira Adikari of Piliyandala Central College guided his alma mater to beat Bandarawela Central College in their traditional first eleven inter school cricket match by innings and 215 runs in their match worked off at Piliyandala.
Ruchira who scored his first ton for the season had sixteen hits to the ropes and six over and occupied the crease for 152 minutes and faced 79 balls. Also he was associated in a seventh wicket partnership of 126 runs with Akash Akalanka who contributed 38 runs.
Batting first Bandarawela Centralians Scored 124 runs with Ruchira Wijesundara scoring 80 runs and in reply Piliyandala lads scored 393 and in their second essay visitors were skittled out for a paltry 54 runs with Heshan Madushanka doing the damage with 5 for 11 runs.
