St. John’s to victory

A fine knock of 131 runs and a good bowling spell of 5 for 29 by Reshan Malith enabled St. John College Panadura to defeat Revatha College Balapitiya by seven wickets in their inter-school first eleven cricket match worked off at Panadura St Johns College is coached by former Johnian Captain Vinosh Perera this season.

Reshan hit twenty boundaries and two sixes and occupied the crease for 190 minutes and faced 152 balls.

Batting first visitors collapsed for 96 runs and in reply Johnians scored 203 runs and in their second essay Revatha College were all out for 120 runs and set to make 14 runs for an outright victory homesters gave away three wickets to achieve their target.
