Mahanama advances to quarters

Mahanama College ‘A’, Colombo advanced to the quarter final round of ‘Singer Trophy’ Under 15 division 1 inter schools cricket tournament when they beat S. Thomas’ College ‘A’, Mt. Lavinia by 2 wickets in pre quarters played at St. John’s ground, Panadura yesterday.

Mahanama will meet Royal College in the quarter final at Bandaranayake MMV ground Veyangoda on March 25.

S. Thomas’ ‘A’ Mt. Lavinia: 205 in 47.5 overs (Ranuka Perera 48 n.o., G. Kanistan 43, Yasiru Rodrigo 42, Devindu Kekirideniya 5/30, Pawan Rathnayake 2/34)

Mahanama ‘A’ Colombo: 206/8 in 49.2 overs (Pawan Rathnayke 96, Vinuka Rubasinghe 25, Aneesh Kamalachandra 2/32, Randev Gunasekara 2/38, Anuk Palihawadana 2/50). YK
