Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has extended its District and Provincial coaches’ contracts for another six months.
A senior official of SLC said a decision was taken to extend their contract for the remainder of the year.
However, from now onwards, the District and Provincial coaches’ performances will be evaluated and scrutinised by SLC’s newly appointed Director Tom Moody and Cricket Advisory Committee, Chaired by former Sri Lanka Captain Aravinda de Silva.
At the end of the year, their performances will be evaluated and on that basis only their new contracts will be awarded.
There are 43 District and 11 Provincial Coaches Associated with SLC and their contract was due to expire on June 15. (D.R)
