New Zealand were 43 for one at lunch in reply to England’s first innings total of 303 on day two of the second Test against England at Edgbaston yesterday.
However, there was a bit of drama when the umpires' soft signal against an edged catch was not out.
England thought they had Devon Conway but replays suggested there wasn't enough evidence for the third umpire to overturn the on-field decision.
A disappointed Stuart Broad had to contend with just the wicket of Tom Latham before the break, bringing to end an intriguing session.
Earlier, England extended their first-innings total to 303 with Dan Lawrence and Mark Wood continuing from where they'd left off on the opening day.
That was until Wood played the expansive drive off Matt Henry to knock over his stumps ending the 66-run stand with Lawrence.
Boult ran through the tail, trapping Anderson leg-before ending England's innings just after they'd gone past 300, leaving Lawrence stranded unbeaten on 81.
