Atapattu advance in Women’s T20I Rankings

Sri Lanka’s Chamari Atapattu has reached seventh place among all-rounders in Women’s Twenty20 cricket after the latest update of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Player Rankings.

The 31-year-old left-hander is currently in 12th position in the One Day International (ODI) batting list and she is also in the 14th position in the T20I batting list. In addition, Atapattu is in 18th place in the list for all-rounders in ODIs.

Atapattu has played in 84 ODIs and 85 T20s and is the most experienced player on the Sri Lanka Team.

She has scored 2,625 ODI runs with an average of 31.62 and has scored five centuries and 14 half-centuries, which is the highest number of ODI centuries and fifties by a Sri Lankan Women’s cricketer.

She also holds the record for the highest individual score of 178 not out against Australia in the last World Cup and this was the first century by a Sri Lankan at the Women’s World Cup.
